    About Performance Surfaces

Whether it is a floor surface, bleacher system, or athletic equipment when you buy the best, you expect the product to be installed correctly, on time the first time. Performance Surfaces recognizes that the mechanical characteristics and designs of all of our products have a significant impact on the appearance and performance of all of our products. As a consequence, we provide our own team of trained installers for all athletic installations. These teams are very familiar with the performance characteristics of our products as well as construction methods and site conditions that will be encountered on the job. For commercial flooring installations, we do work with a very limited number of reputable, qualified installation contractors

Installation success begins with our first customer meeting.
Performance Surfaces integrates four critical steps in our customer development process to maximize installation success.

Take off and site inspection
Typically following our first customer meeting we will conduct a thorough inspection of the job site or architectural plans along with discussions with the owner, contractor and/or architect as appropriate. We want to physically confirm plan dimensions or create our own during the early estimate phase of a job. As importantly, we want to be sure we understand the construction schedule, site accessibility, on-site storage, and all aspects of substrate preparation and other environmental conditions that might affect the performance of our product or the product installation.

Product Selection
Budgets, timelines and product appearance have a dramatic effect on any purchase, often overshadowing the best performance characteristics of the best product for the given application. By meeting with the customer early in the buying cycle we can make sure that the customer has considered all aspects of the product, the buying process and installation methods associated with each product in order to set reasonable final expectations. During this time we can discuss potential delays caused by moisture conditions at the site that may delay installation or the impact of custom colors or inlaid logos or designs that affect order deadlines.

Installation
For us, a professional installation means we have considered site storage and security, personnel safety, work efficiency, timeliness, consideration for other site workers and a clean surface ready to use when we leave. Most importantly, we don't rely on our estimate of when the installation is professionally complete, we rely on our customers for that acknowledgement.
