Mondo's Triple Layer System
|
|
|
Project: University of Texas - Arlington.
Arlington, Texas |
| |
Goal:
To remodel an existing gymnasium to provide an attractive, state-of-the art
athletic facility. The challenge was the existing gym was covered with an old,
toxic urethane floor. Removing the urethane would have required a hugely
expensive hazardous material disposal project.
Solution:
Performance Surfaces glued Mondo's 10mm Sport Impact over Mondo's Everlay which
was loose laid over the existing poured urethane floor. This technique
encapsulates the toxic urethane surface without bonding to it enabling the
owner to dispose of either the Mondo surface or both at a much later date.
